We run our own yoga holidays, with massage and ayurvedic health treatments available on site. We also welcome yoga teachers bringing their own yoga groups.

Come for a relaxing break at Kailasam Yoga and Ayurveda Centre in Kerala, South India. We offer two-week holidays in our exotic, seaside yoga retreat in the Kerala resort of Kovalam. Our yoga holidays are ideal for singles, couples or for friends travelling together. We also welcome non-yoga partners. Our yoga groups are small and friendly and a great way of making like-minded friends. Beginners or more experienced, young or those with the wisdom of years - all are welcome at Kailasam.

Kailasam Yoga and Ayurveda Centre is an oasis of calm with two beautiful yoga spaces, eight simple, but comfortable en-suite rooms – five single and three which can be booked by couples or friends sharing. The atmosphere is peaceful, welcoming and homely, so much so that many of our guests find themselves returning again and again!

Qualified and well-respected yoga teacher

Diana Shipp is your co-host and yoga teacher. She trained with the British Wheel of Yoga in the UK and with the Sivananda Yoga Vedanta organisation in India. A well-qualified, and experienced teacher of hatha yoga, pranayama (breath control) and meditation, her style is imaginative, empathetic and non-competitive.

Traditional ayurvedic massage, Indian Head massage and ayurvedic treatments

Mohan Kesavan-Nadar is your co-host and ayurvedic physician. Mohan is a master of massage and manipulation which will re-align and rejuvenate your body. The treatments are magic and you will go home feeling younger, fitter and ready to take on the world!

Ayurvedic Detoxification Programme

Indulge in Mohan’s two-week special purification programme of massage, warm oil and herbal detox treatments. The combination of yoga and ayurveda makes this a truly holistic health holiday.

We also offer an annual watercolour painting holiday with well-respected British artist and inspiring course tutor Susan Beaulah. This art holiday will help you realise your creativity in your own individual way and in a supportive group atmosphere.

Susan Beaulah has worked as a professional landscape artist for 16 years, and has exhibited widely in the UK, India and the USA. The painting holiday is based at Kailasam Centre in Kerala, near to Susan’s own studio in Kovalam.
